The industry’s elite gathered to celebrate their achievements and compete for coveted titles such as Regional Advisor of the Year, WealthTech Provider of the Year, Top RIA Firm of the Year, and the prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award.
2024 Investment News Awards Hollywood-Inspired Celebration
Finalists from across the country attended the glamorous event, with highlights including a Hollywood Walk of Fame and a red carpet complete with a 360-degree camera. The awards ceremony was a nod to the Oscars, featuring video clips of winners and their firms parodying iconic Hollywood movies like Top Gun and Star Wars.
Celebrating a Lifetime of Achievement
Bill Crager, CEO of Envestnet, was honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award. Although Crager couldn’t attend, Rich Aneser, Envestnet’s Chief Strategy Officer, accepted on his behalf, highlighting Crager’s dedication to the industry and his impact on advisors and clients.
CEO of the Year: Marianne Caswell
Marianne Caswell, President and CEO of Park Avenue Securities, won the CEO of the Year award. She expressed her gratitude and stressed the importance of making a difference for advisors and clients alike.
Philanthropy and Community Service
Sibyl Slade of IntegriVest Wealth Advisors was recognized with the Commonwealth Financial Network’s Award for Excellence in Philanthropy and Community Service. Slade’s work positively impacts advisors and clients, inspiring well-being and financial dreams.
Rising Stars and Trailblazers
Julie Penwell of Wealthspire Advisors, a shining example of personal growth and dedication, was awarded NextGen Advisor of the Year, and Benjamin Ola Akande of Stifel Financial, a true trailblazer, won the DEI Trailblazer of the Year. Both expressed excitement and gratitude for their recognition, emphasizing their unwavering commitment to making significant contributions within their organizations and beyond.
Leading the Charge in Sustainable Investing
Peter Krull, founder and partner at Earth Equity Advisors, was honored with the ESG/Responsible Investing award. Krull underscored the importance of educating clients on the value of sustainable investing.
